When I was writing for this assignment, I realized how much I was struggling to come up with a good way to show the aged version of Holden that I envisioned in my brain. I eventually decided to make a story-like description for my first chapter and though it was not a typical story, I felt it was the best way to convey what I felt inside. I learned that a writer sometimes has to take the path that they think is best to truly express the story they envision in their minds.
