Dartboard Project: Gravity Falls
I had never really done a project in a math class before and this assignment was not the easiest. Learning how to find the areas of the shapes that had shapes on top of them was very painful. I was lucky that I had one supportive group member and we were able to get it done. I had to learn a lot about shapes and angle measures and areas. This project helped me to learn that it is important to utilize all your given resources when you are doing math. I also learned that you can sometimes only get one good group member and it makes the project a lot harder to do.
(This dartboard is Gravity Falls related because it resembles a character from the show.)
Video Tutorials
The video tutorials have always been something that was consistently helpful to me. When I don't understand the subjects we are studying, the videos have always been what clarified things for me. I am great at taking notes so my video tutorial notes are always very clear to me and I like having them in an easily accessible location like my notebook. I have also been constantly turning all of my notes in and I enjoy getting the extra points. I especially liked the recent groups of tutorials because they were not only videos but there were games and mini quizzes on Khan Academy. It really helped me out and I had some fun doing my work too.
